Wholly Embodied, Wholly Here is a mixed-media collection of portraits on wood, combining paper collage with materials such as coffee, eye shallow and acrylic paint. The collection depicts hooded/camouflaged figures engulfed in fabric, flowers and floral patterns. Each portrait is a subtle and tender motion by a hooded figure. I play with camouflage and masking as a means of demonstrating agency of marginalized bodies, to depict how one can be present and expressive while still protecting one’s self, it is a quiet rebellion.
