Hold Who Will Hold You (2023)

The Smallest Measure (2023)

“Hold Who Will Hold You” foregrounds the intimate lives of young queer Kenyans: the feel and sensuality – as in touch – of human connection, the vulnerability of skin-to-skin proximity, reciprocal care. The smallest measure of kindness in an embrace. Taking a minimal approach to line, shape and composition, each photograph honors the power of a kind embrace in a world that protects and values aggression, intolerance and brutality.
